Yep, it’s official – I will be one of the speakers at the Niche Affiliate Marketing
System Workshop (NAMS) August 20-23, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia.
I just returned from the Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop (NAMS) in Atlanta, Georgia. NAMS is a hands-on workshop to teach you about affiliate marketing and the lessons you learn while there, you then will receive help on the spot to actually put into action. This is not a sit on your duff and listen, go home with a pile of notes you have nothing to do with, type workshop.
I have to say, this was an awesome trip and not only were the speakers great, but the networking was fabulous.
I was blessed to have roomed with Lynn Terry during this event. She’s as
genuine, real and down to earth in person – as she appears to be online. Her honest, straight forward business advice is how I found her; but her willingness to help people and her integrity is why I chose to join her Elite Mastermind group. I was not disappointed in that decision and it’s probably been one of the single best decisions I’ve ever made for my business.
I believe the second best decision I’ve made for my business was to attend NAMS – live and in person. Not only is the information shared by the speakers good, helpful and things you could use and apply immediately (yes we actually worked and learned a ton!): but meeting people face-to-face that you’ve chatted with online definitely adds a new element and layer to your relationship and opens up opportunities for Joint Ventures (JV). You also now have a greater resource of people to draw from, or go to, when you find you have a need or skill set.
Okay – so now I’ve shared really a bit about the reason why I went (being part of Lynn Terry’s group that went to NAMS – there were 22 of us from that group that went!); and I’ve also shared some of the benefits of going to the NAMS workshop (we did work, and we did learn a lot!) and meeting people (I met a ton of new people and loved every minute of it!) – but now I want to share with you my takeaways from the weekend.
My NAMS Workshop Takeaways
One of my biggest takeaways was how easy and quickly we can create our own products. Most people think it takes months and months to write, plan, prepare your own product – and for most of us it does, and it part, because we complicate the whole process by over-thinking.
During the NAMS Workshop, live while we were watching David Perdew, Cindi Dawson, Mark Hendricks, Lynn Terry and Jeff Herring talk about teleseminars; how to do them and make money doing so, by answering six questions on that topic and discussing them, their conversations were recorded. Within 30 minutes of completing their 60 minute discussion, an audio product was finished and ready for sale! Fast and easy!!
Good news is that you can get this audio product they created to teach you how to do teleseminars and how to use them to make money! Get the How to Create Audio Products in Less than 90 Minutes information product created live at NAMS2.
Here’s a video on the 90 Minute teleseminar product creation (yes, I’m in the video!!)
My second biggest takeaway was from Jeff Herring:
G.U.T.S. = Go Use This Stuff
If we don’t use what we learn, as in - take action on it, it’s just more stuff filling our heads.
So that’s my NAMS Workshop recap. Loved it, and I will most definitely be going back for the next NAMS in January 2010.
To YOUR success,
Traci Knoppe
P.S. If you did not make it to NAMS2, do you plan to attend NAMS3 in January 2010? http://NAMSWorkshop.net
P.P.S Here’s some other recaps on NAMS: Lynn Terry, Aileen Bennett, Regina Baker
For those who follow me on Twitter, or who may happen to glance periodically in my sidebar and see my tweetstream, you may notice this hashtag: #NAMS appearing more often of late. NAMS stands for Niche Affiilate Marketing System Workshop that is held in Atlanta every year. It’s a workshop conference to learn about affiliate and internet marketing. NAMS begins this Friday (August 14-17, 2009) and I’m leaving tomorrow (August 13) and flying to Atlanta for this event.
Unfortunately, NAMS is sold out. Even though many other internet marketing conferences have had to cancel due to poor registrations – NAMS sold out! That’s because NAMS isn’t like any other internet marketing conference. It isn’t a ‘pitch fest’ where you listen then ‘get to’ go spend tons of money buying more stuff.
At NAMS the registration numbers are kept small, and then you are divided into groups (Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced) according to your experience level and other factors that would determine your group placement. Internet marketing leaders (such as Willie Crawford, Jeff Herring, Lynn Terry and many others) teach sessions and then after each session will meet with their specific groups to help them implement what they just taught them! This is what makes NAMS so powerful. You aren’t just sitting them filling your head full with information that you aren’t quite sure how to implement; at NAMS, they will help you right then and there implement and help you take your business to next level and help you succeed!
So as you can see just from what little I’ve shared, NAMS is special. But it’s the networking opportunities that make NAMS truly special. The people you get to put a ‘face with a name’ that you’ve been communicating with online, the interviewing opportunities, the potential for Joint Ventures to be made… so as you can see, NAMS is a full-on working business trip, that will definitely bring about positive results for anyone who goes and applies themselves and what they learn.
Okay – so my going on and on about NAMS has you bumming because you’ve missed out and you aren’t going. Well, the good news is that David Perdew, the organizer of NAMS has now made it possible for NAMS to come to you – via flashdrive! You can order NAMS4U flashdrives at an excellent price. I highly recommend you do so to get the speaker’s content and information.
So, I will be blogging from NAMS; post pictures and updates. So watch for it!
To YOUR success,
Traci Knoppe
P.S. If you’re not going to NAMS this week, go today to get your NAMS4U Flashdrive before they sell out; and mark your calendars for next August and plan to join me at NAMS in 2010.
