I am constantly asked what tools and resources I use not only in my business, but for clients. Most of the time I answer, “That depends.”
Not all tools in the toolbox work for every job; same is true with online/virtual tools.
That said, here are some that I do use frequently and would recommend you check out.
Premium Web Cart is an amazing cart – that does just about anything and everything – all in one place. Great for small to large size businesses. I love that it fully integrates with both Aweber and Wishlist Member (two systems I use all the time, as do my clients).
WAHMCart is another great shopping cart solution – and at a very affordable rate, especially for those just starting out in their online business. Regina Baker is the co-owner and a personal friend of mine. Can’t go wrong with WAHMCart!
Try AWeber’s Email Marketing Tool Risk-Free
Without a doubt – Aweber is the best autoresponder service: bar none.
HostGator is the BEST hosting. I not only have a personal account with them, I also have TWO reseller accounts with them. Yes – they are that good. WordPress friendly, excellent customer service – all at crazy affordable rates.
I’ve used Godaddy for years to register my domain names. They are an excellent domain name registrar.
I love HootSuite! I can manage all my social media profiles in one spot. As busy as I am – I need that. So yes, I do pay the measly $5.99 per month to get HootSuite Pro – and it’s worth it!
WordPress.ORG (the free version you install on your own hosting) is the best platform for buildling web sites, squeeze pages – and yes, even blogs. WordPress has evolved into much more than just blog software – it’s a content management system on steriods. Throw in the plethora of plugins available and it can do just about anything you’d want or need your web site to do.
Probably the question I get asked most often – is which WordPress theme is the best. Tough answer, as it can depend some on the needs of the web site, but I have used the StudioPress Genesis framework with any one of their child themes and had huge success! They are SEO-friendly, easy to use and highly customizable. You can’t go wrong with StudioPress!
Wishlist Member is *the* membership software to use with WordPress. Several of my clients use it, as do I!!
StudioPress themes
WooBox is the Facebook app I use to create custom Facebook iframe tabs. It’s free, with no branding!! Love it!!
I’ll continue to add to this list as time goes on.
