There may be times or circumstances when you want to password protect your entire WordPress blog. Whether to restrict access to only paid members (i.e. quasi membership site), or to a select group of people (a private journal); password protecting WordPress can be done easily – and for free!
There is one main thing to consider when password protecting your blog.

Each of the above plugins can also be added directly from the admin dashboard (Plugins > Add New > enter the plugin name in the search box and click install).
