TweetDeck v0.32.1 New Features

Here’s a new video tutorial highlighting some of the new features found in TweetDeck’s new version 0.32.1. Some of the new features include integration of the new Twitter lists, the new retweet feature and ability to add a new column to view/vet your new followers all from within TweetDeck!

Enjoy!

  1. Hi Traci,

Thanks for the walk through & tips on the new version of TD. I followed along and for some reason, when I click on “quick profile” icon, mine opens up in a new window and shows people’s Twitter page, it does not open in a column & display the features that you spoke of in your video. Any thoughts?

Also, would you know of a way to clear previous searches?

    Thanks,
    AndreaC

Hi Andrea – I guess my first question would be the most obvious: do you have version 0.32.1 installed. :) If so, then click Settings > General and make sure you UNcheck the box next to Open Profiles in a Web Page. Click Save Settings and try again.

  2. Okey dokey, all better now. And I thought of Unchecking that box but it said “saves on API calls” and I thought saving API was important. Not sure what API is but you did mention changing settings for API limits so I thought “saving” API would matter.

  3. Traci Knoppe says:

If you adjust your API settings similar to what I showed in this video, then chances are you will be fine on API and won’t max those out and will have plenty of API to view profiles within TweetDeck.

If you find you are running out of API, then go into settings and LOWER the percentage for each area, so your total overall API % is lower – which simply means you will have a longer time in between auto updates of new tweets coming through.

  4. Hey Traci,
Thanks for this tutorial. I definitely need to take sometime to go through your videos and set up Twitter in the best way. I’m still old school and using Twitter directly on the web- LOL.
    All the best,
    Eren
