My laptop is about 3 1/2 years old and there are days I am not sure it is going to make it. I have seen the blue screen of death twice this last month! Or it just freezes and does nothing! I am hanging on for a Mac, but cost of changing programs on top of a more expensive laptop, has stopped me. After reading these posts, I am not sure investing in another less expensive laptop is more economical than just going for the Mac. I'll let you know! Hi Traci,

I love this post — I could have written it! My laptop is about 3 1/2 years old and there are days I am not sure it is going to make it. I have seen the blue screen of death twice this last month! Or it just freezes and does nothing!

I was thinking light and portable, and that seemed the logical choice. In the store, I took a closer look at the new 13" macbook pro. It's not too heavy, blows the mb air out of the water in terms of functionality, and it cost less! For $1800 I would have had the base model Air, and for $1500 I had the top of the line 13" Pro. I'm very happy with my purchase. It's easy to carry and does everything my imac can do, so I'm not tied to my desk all the time. Take a look.
