NAMS Workshop Recap

I just returned from the Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop (NAMS) in Atlanta, Georgia. NAMS is a hands-on workshop to teach you about affiliate marketing and the lessons you learn while there, you then will receive help on the spot to actually put into action. This is not a sit on your duff and listen, go home with a pile of notes you have nothing to do with, type workshop.

I have to say, this was an awesome trip and not only were the speakers great, but the networking was fabulous.

I was blessed to have roomed with Lynn Terry during this event. She’s as Lynn Terry and Traci Knoppe at NAMS2genuine, real and down to earth in person – as she appears to be online. Her honest, straight forward business advice is how I found her; but her willingness to help people and her integrity is why I chose to join her Elite Mastermind group.  I was not disappointed in that decision and it’s probably been one of the single best decisions I’ve ever made for my business.

I believe the second best decision I’ve made for my business was to attend NAMS – live and in person. Not only is the information shared by the speakers good, helpful and things you could use and apply immediately (yes we actually worked and learned a ton!): but meeting people face-to-face that you’ve chatted with online definitely adds a new element and layer to your relationship and opens up opportunities for Joint Ventures (JV).  You also now have a greater resource of people to draw from, or go to, when you find you have a need or skill set.

Okay – so now I’ve shared really a bit about the reason why I went (being part of Lynn Terry’s group that went to NAMS – there were 22 of us from that group that went!); and I’ve also shared some of the benefits of going to the NAMS workshop (we did work, and we did learn a lot!) and meeting people (I met a ton of new people and loved every minute of it!) – but now I want to share with you my takeaways from the weekend.

My NAMS Workshop Takeaways

One of my biggest takeaways was how easy and quickly we can create our own products. Most people think it takes months and months to write, plan, prepare your own product – and for most of us it does, and it part, because we complicate the whole process by over-thinking.

During the NAMS Workshop, live while we were watching David Perdew, Cindi Dawson, Mark Hendricks, Lynn Terry and Jeff Herring talk about teleseminars; how to do them and make money doing so, by answering six questions on that topic and discussing them, their conversations were recorded.  Within 30 minutes of completing their 60 minute discussion, an audio product was finished and ready for sale! Fast and easy!!

Good news is that you can get this audio product they created to teach you how to do teleseminars and how to use them to make money! Get the How to Create Audio Products in Less than 90 Minutes information product created live at NAMS2.

Here’s a video on the 90 Minute teleseminar product creation (yes, I’m in the video!!)

My second biggest takeaway was from Jeff  Herring:

G.U.T.S. = Go Use This Stuff

If we don’t use what we learn, as in -  take action on it, it’s just more stuff filling our heads.

So that’s my NAMS Workshop recap. Loved it, and I will most definitely be going back for the next NAMS in January 2010.

To YOUR success,

Traci Knoppe

P.S.  If you did not make it to NAMS2, do you plan to attend NAMS3 in January 2010? http://NAMSWorkshop.net

And for the record, you do realize that my nickname of ‘The Quiet One’ is a facetious loving term of endearment bestowed upon me by Lynn Terry’s Elite members, right? ;)

It was so great to meet Traci and everyone this weekend at NAMS. It was a completely motivational and educational experience. There were so many great things shared by speakers and attendees. I’m still taking notes even now that I’m home!

It was great to meet you too Loretta! I hear ya on the notes, so many good nuggets of wisdom – loved it!! :)

I’m already taking action on several things. Seriously. Got home and got straight to work in putting into action what I learned – that’s the only way progress is made and businesses grow! ;)

  9. Regina says:

You’re so right Traci, there’s nothing like being there in person! And, I couldn’t have summed up Lynn Terry any better than you did here — she is the real deal but so are you ;-)

I had so much fun with Tracy, Loretta, Nicole, Elizabeth and so many others!

I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you in person, I’ve come to the conclusion that we’re friends for LIFE! ;-)

  10. Traci Knoppe says:

Regina – you’re making me cry! Girl I loved you on the spot, of course you were a great sport to chat with my 7 year old daughter Hannah on the phone. She LOVED that!!

I agree – friends for LIFE! I see a trip to Houston in my future. ;)

  11. Great to see your take away of NAMS. I’m hoping to make it to NAMS one day and meet you all. I’m sure I would learn a lot.

And you’re so right – being part of Lynn’s Elite Mastermind Group just made the experience all that much richer!

What David Perdew has created is an amazing, wonderful workshop to take people from ‘just doin’ stuff’ to GETTIN’ OFF THEIR DUFFS! I love it!!
