The internet, including blogs, are for sharing. It's often how you present the information to your readers that makes a difference. If your post is written more like an advertisement, than a personal conversation where you are recommending something to a friend, folks might get upset - or at least won't respond by clicking the link. Also, offer/recommend only products/services that would be of interest to your readers. If your blog is on crochet - don't offer them a special deal on golf. ;) Keep it reader relevant. I read several blog entries that were justifying their act of putting links in their post, because the readers accused them of selling out to advertising.
