    Traci,

I asked someone how to organize followers into groups on Twitter, and they suggested TweetDeck. Then I discovered your blog, after seeing your playlist on Blif.fm. Great info here! I will check into TweetDeck soon. Sounds like something I can really use.

  2. OK, you convinced me I am off to get TweetDeck. I noticed that you use tiny url. What advantages does it have? And How do I get it?

Hi Sheila – you will love TweetDeck. TinyURL is built into TweetDeck; just below where you type in your tweet, is a box titled ‘shorten url’ where you enter in your long URL and then click the ‘shorten’ button and it does it for you and inserts it into your tweet.

I also like http://budurl.com as I can not only track how many clicks my url gets, but I can customize the url too. You can also customize shortened url’s with http://tinyurl.com if you shorten them from their web site, and not within TweetDeck. So if you don’t care so much about tracking stats for your shortened url’s just use the builtin feature in TweetDeck.

  4. Thanks Traci, I got TweetDeck and you are right! I makes tweeting so much faster. Including the tinyURL space.

Yay Sheila! I’m glad you like TweetDeck. :)

  6. Traci,
Very cool updates! Thanks for showing exactly what they were. I have had Tweetdeck since I started with Twitter however I don’t really know how to use it as far as grouping people and organization. I have the 3 columns but that’s it. I see I have a lot to learn! Thanks

  7. I never really liked TweetDeck but my GF loves it.
I’m more into making my tweets on my htc incredible with the official twitter android app for most of my tweets
or I use twhirl on my pc.
